Safety thermostats

Safety thermostats work differently depending on the appliance they are designed for, but generally, they have some basic functions.

Detecting Overheating: A temperature sensor is placed in, for example, the motor or heating element of an appliance to continuously measure the temperature. If any part becomes too hot, a threshold value is set from the start. When the maximum temperature is reached or exceeded, the overheat protection is activated, shutting down the appliance by cutting or limiting the power supply.

Cooling Down: After the safety thermostat has been activated, the appliance begins its cooling process. Besides cutting off the power, fans or heat sinks can help to quickly reduce the temperature. Once cooling is complete, the safety thermostat can be reset. The user may need to press a button to manually reset the protection, and if the power has been cut off, reconnection to the power source is required.

Safe Usage: Always follow the instructions and recommendations provided by the manufacturer when connecting kitchen appliances. This ensures that the safety thermostat is reliable and functions correctly in case of danger.
