Filter dryer & accumulators

Dryer filters remove moisture and unwanted impurities that can come from the cooling medium in the refrigerators and freezers. If moisture remains, it can otherwise cause problems such as icing, problems with the compressor or reduced performance. The drying filter also filters particles that can damage or clog components in the system. Examples of these components can be the compressor or the expansion valve.

The accumulator is used to regulate and equalize the refrigerant that passes through the system of the refrigerator or freezer. The accumulator adjusts how much refrigerant enters and exits and helps ensure an even flow. This reduces the risk of problems with the compressor. Accumulators are mainly used at low temperatures, but can also be used in environments that are exposed to rapid temperature changes, the accumulator can then prevent damage to components.
